Role of First Line Manager

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

To directly assist Management by reporting on and monitoring the effectiveness of all warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, always maintaining standards of excellence
Ensuring compliance to Standard Operating Procedures in Ecommerce
Contribute to the continuous site improvement agenda

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

Previous and practical experience as a supervisor or Team Leader within a warehouse environment
Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices
Previous experience of preparation and distribution of volume orders
Computer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
A good track record with Health & Safety
HR experience
Proven track record in successfully developing colleagues
Flexible and committed to the contract
RP WMS experience is a benefit
Must be able to promote high standards and deliver accuracy within the role
Will report directly to the Shift Managers.

Working Hours and Shift Patterns of First Line Manager

Any 5 days out of 7 so weekend work will be involved, Rotational Days and Afternoons, working a total of 40 hours every weekPay Rates of First Line Manager

Between £12.26 and £13.40 per hour (£25,500.00 to £27,875.94) depending on experience
