We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Application Engineer with cloud experience to join our client who is a leading provider of logistics software. As a Cloud Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects and play a crucial role in supporting and evolving our infrastructure.
Office based in Edinburgh - very flexible although looking for candidates within a commutable distance.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a reliable, secure, and high-quality service.
Support development teams in deploying code to production environments.
Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure.
Act promptly to restore service during incidents.
Bridge the gap between Development and Operations by solving complex problems.
Requirements:
4+ years of relevant commercial experience in application development.
Proficiency in working with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with Unix/Linux command-line interface.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
Solid understanding of application development processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and systems.
