Senior Power Electronics Engineer
We are currently hiring for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to be based 1 day per week in Milton Keynes. Our client is an exciting technology start up looking to grow their team of Engineers out ahead of 3 key projects. They are on the cusp of commercialising the most efficient power technology on the planet with applications in multi-billion dollar strong-growth global markets ranging from super-efficient lighting to data centre computing.
The key responsibilities of this Senior Power Electronics Engineer job based in Milton Keynes are:
Design, development, and test of power electronics according to customer/project requirements.
SMPS design and working with Invertors/power bridges.
Carrying out EMC testing work.
Translate project requirements into a design, development, and test plan under the supervision of a senior engineer.
Collaborate with the Software Team to aid functional requirements.
Build and verify circuit design with simulation and analysis.
The successful applicant will have a combination of the following:
5+ years' experience with medium power SMPS Design
Experience working with mains rated power supply design
Exposure to LLC Converter/Phase Shifted Full Bridge (PSFB)
Experience working with power electronics for Lighting or Data Centre environments
Digital control - micro/embedded systems/fpga experience would be a huge bonus but not necessary.
