Senior Support Worker/Team Leader
Start date - ASAP
Location - Hammersmith
Contract - Initially 3 months
Hours per week - 36 hours per week
Rate of pay - £27.96ltd per hour
About the Role
The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent support to vulnerable adults with a range of disabilities, including physical disability, autism, challenging behaviour, mental health, and dementia.
Main Responsibilities
Deliver excellent support to vulnerable adults with a range of disabilities
Work in partnership with schools, colleges, and other service providers to deliver transition groups for residents
Assist residents in identifying progression opportunities and provide ongoing transition support
Establish positive relationships with residents and support them to increase their confidence and realise their potential
Explore services such as independent living establishments and a curriculum for independent living skills
Requirements
Proven experience within a supervisor position or in a similar role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Experience working with vulnerable adults with disabilities
