At Argent Energy, we are set to expand our Biodiesel production significantly with the construction of a new factory at our Amsterdam location. To support this growth, we are looking to strengthen our engineering team with a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Completion Engineer.What do you doAs a Mechanical Completion Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the upcoming Biodiesel Plant construction. You will be responsible for preparing, compiling, and submitting the Project Completion Dossier, ensuring that all requirements and specifications are met and signed off in a timely manner. This role offers ample opportunities for development as you will support and develop the new plants commissioned in 2024 and 2025.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Ensure all equipment has its Inspection Test Plan (ITP) documentation in the designated software;
- Collaborate with the team to compile comprehensive test packs within the designated software;
- Provide support for the mechanical completion process, ensuring all necessary documentation and procedures are in place and followed;
- Work closely with the project team to assist in troubleshooting and resolve any gaps in mechanical completion issues that may arise;
- Maintain the software once implementation has started;
- Help witness testing in the field and ensure contractors follow up with documentation.

- A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent;
- Project engineering experience and a desire to lead your own projects;
- Continuous Improvement training (useful but not essential);
- 1 - 2 years of experience working in a process plant is preferred but not essential;
- Experience in change management within a challenging environment;
- Excellent facilitation skills to engage a cross-functional team towards a desired outcome;
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire action;
- Commercial acumen with strong business analytical skills.
