Atlas Workplace Services are looking for a Asset Surveyor to join our team.

The Asset Surveyor will provide a hybrid function across the Technical Team, increasing the Asset Management resource availability while also providing Subject Matter Expert services to the business. They will possess an excellent strategic and practical understanding of the role of asset surveying in relation to all stakeholders, both internal and external and a desire to further Atlas Workplace Services vision to deliver excellent asset management and engineering services.

The Asset Surveyor will report to the ‘Head of Technical Services’ for all asset survey and management related works, ensuring that all surveys and verifications are delivered to excellent quality standards and on time.

The Asset Surveyor will have current knowledge of energy and sustainability targets and legislation and be able to set out compelling business cases that illustrate accurate returns on investment. The role will require proactive behaviours to

This will be a home based role with regular travel to client sites.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Technical and Compliance
• Support the Head of Technical Services in the delivery and maintenance of professionally presented asset surveys to include condition ratings, criticality, obsolescence.
• Be accountable for delivering lifecycle condition assessments and ratings.
• Provide support and assistance to new and existing contracts as required.
• Carry out Root Cause Analysis Investigations to create PIER Reports where required.

Asset Management
• Deliver Asset Capture and Validation visits, especially supporting mobilisations.
• Provide Life Cycle survey visits and compile Life Cycle reports with annual and 5 to 10 year forward planning.

Minimum Qualifications, Certifications and Training required

* Degree / HNC / HND in surveying or equivalent professional body accreditation.

* Site Management and Safety accreditation – SMSTS / SSSTS or similar.

* Asbestos Awareness Training.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience for this role

* Experience in asset identification, condition assessment, feasibility studies, investigations and reporting relating to electrical, mechanical and fabric building elements.

* Communicate effectively through both written and spoken word with attention to detail.

* Able to articulate complex technical issues and solutions to non-professionals in that field.

* Be customer facing at all times.

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (including MS Projects, Powerpoint, Word and Excel).

* Comprehensive understanding of regulations, legislation, British Standards, Health and Safety, and other relevant codes related to building maintenance and surveying.

* Experience of CAFM systems such as Maximo.

* Commercial experience relating to contract obligations and lifecycle costings.
