Chief Executive

Firma: CV-Library
Jobbtype: Full-time
Salary: 45 000 GBP/Year

The Plough Arts Centre (The Plough) is seeking applications for the recently created position of Chief Executive (CE).
Hours: 30 hours per week (4 day week to include frequent evening and weekend working on performance dates)
The Role
Following a restructuring of its senior management team, The Plough has created the position of Chief Executive.
For much of its existence, the Plough has existed outside of regular Arts Council England (ACE) core funding. However, in 2023 the Plough was awarded National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) status, which provides it with a significant opportunity to expand its reach across North Devon. The CE position will be a broad one; it will combine developing The Plough with longer term horizons in mind, with the need to be operationally involved, balancing the ability to think commercially alongside the charitable objectives of the organisation.
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic professional to lead the organisation through the exciting next stages of its development. We want someone who shares our commitment to provide a high quality and varied artistic experience to our audience and community, and to working in inclusive, responsible ways to deliver our ambitions.
Further information is included within the Job Description and Person Specification.
We look forward to receiving your application.
If you would like an informal discussion with Fran Hardiman, Chair of The Plough Committee of Management, prior to submitting your proposal, please email to arrange a time for a phone call.
Appointments will be subject to an enhanced disclosure DBS check.
We are committed to Equality, Inclusivity and Diversity and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
How To Apply
Please submit your CV along with a covering letter outlining (in no more than 2 pages) how you meet the Person Specification, and previous experience required for the role.
Please also complete the attached Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form.
Please send all documents to Penny Maisey, Vice Chair.
Closing Date: 6pm 25 June 2024
Interview Date: 19 July 2024 with a panel of Trustees. Successful shortlisted candidates will be asked to return and meet with the staff team
