Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with a primary focus on administrative tasks to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering combined with exceptional organizational and leadership skills. In this role, you will oversee the administrative aspects of engineering projects, ensuring efficient coordination, resource allocation, and communication among team members.

Responsibilities:

1. Administrative Oversight:

* Develop and implement administrative processes and procedures to streamline project execution.

* Manage project documentation, including contracts, budgets, schedules, and progress reports.

* Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth project operations and timely delivery.

2. Team Leadership:

* Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to maximize their potential.

* Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation and creativity.

* Conduct regular performance evaluations and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.

3. Resource Management:

* Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements and deadlines.

* Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues.

* Collaborate with HR to recruit and onboard new team members as needed.

4. Stakeholder Communication:

* Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status, milestones, and potential risks.

* Facilitate meetings and presentations to update stakeholders on project progress and obtain feedback.

* Address any concerns or inquiries from stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.

5. Continuous Improvement:

* Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.

* Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements to ensure the adoption of innovative solutions.

* Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the engineering team.

Requirements:

* Recognised technical qualifications (C&G / NVQ)

* Previous experience working in retail

* Proven experience in engineering management with a focus on administrative tasks.

* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

* Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

* Proficiency in project management tools and software.

* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
