JOB TITLE: Credit Control Manager

LOCATION: Exeter

SALARY: £37,000 per annum

HOURS: 37.5 hours Monday-Friday

THE ROLE:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Credit Control Manager with proven leadership skills to join their team. As the Credit Control Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the department, helping to shape and implement the company's credit control strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, implement, and manage credit control policies and procedures
Assess and evaluate new and existing customers credit applications
Monitor and manage overdue accounts, ensuring timely collection
Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve billing and payment discrepancies
Provide accurate and timely reporting on credit control activities
Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimise cash flow
Stay updated with industry regulations and best practises
Provide guidance and mentorship to credit control team, workload monitoring championing development, and continuous skill and career advancementSKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience in credit control management
Strong understanding of accounting principles and credit control processes
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficient IT user
Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment
Results-driven with a proactive approach to achieving targets
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
