The Role In a Nutshell

Working with c£100m capital value of office acquisitions in the next 3 years, this role manages the property life-cycle strategy and activities within the regional office estate, ensuring that the shape of the regional office estate meets the occupation and usage levels and is consistent with the Property Strategy across the UK.

This role will suit someone from a corporate environment, with experience in large-scale, multi-phased workplace change projects.
Working within the Construction, Projects, Property, and Estate Strategy business.

Responsibilities

Managing the occupancy of the office estate in the North region
Accountable for supporting the development and execution of the workplace strategic plan (Property workstream), encompassing c700 property vacations, consolidations, and acquisitions affecting c45,000 colleagues in office-based roles in the UK.
Coordinate and lead property projects to drive the ongoing delivery of property strategy and plans.
Ensure collaborative working relationships with internal and external partners to provide solutions and implement projects
Work with Projects & Construction, Workplace Services, Digital and Security (amongst others) to ensure the strategy for office projects delivers the desired colleague experience as set out in the workplace design and standards guidance,
Provide technical expertise, strategic consultancy to the business and thought leadership, ensuring feasibility of projects and programmes and delivery of real property and commercial benefit to the business unit or region of responsibility.
Shape the UK office estate property strategy, managing property life cycle events to deliver an office estate suitable for customers' needs.
Break down problems using insight and data analysis to make decisions.
Use existing technology to deliver data-driven information.
Identify and execute opportunities to deliver financial savings across the property portfolio within the area of responsibility.
Experience:

Experience of managing the delivery of a workplace strategy is essential across a large property portfolio.
Experience in influencing and relationship managing senior stakeholders is essential.
Experience in large-scale, multi-phased workplace change projects.
Ability to manage and oversee multiple concurrent projects and work both in a team and independently to deadlines is essential.
Relevant experience in workplace change management principles, methodologies, and tools is beneficial.
Insight of workplace trends and activities and applying these to a property strategy is essential.
Insight in to the local commercial property market and latest industry trends is beneficial.
In-depth knowledge of property law, transaction structures and financing approaches in the UK is beneficial.
Bachelor's Degree preferably in a property-related discipline in desirable.
RICS qualified an advantage but not essential
Experience of working in a collaborative manner across multiple teams, with diverse skills and experience is essential.
Insight into market trends in data analysis and technology which can support a wide-reaching data strategy to help manage a successful property portfolio
A good understanding of industry standards and regulations to support workplace design and ensure compliance
