Heavy Plant Fitter

Our Company specialises in the provision of mechanical engineering services to a wide range of industrial sectors including nuclear, petrochemical, oil and gas, energy and utilities.

We are looking to recruit an EXPERIENCED HEAVY PLANT MECHANIC to start work immediately based at our premises in Basildon, Essex.

Suitable candidates should have extensive experience of working on construction plant and equipment.

:

* Maintenance, service and repair of heavy plant equipment such as telehandlers, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, compressors, welding plants etc.

* Maintenance, service and repair of vehicles, where applicable.

· This is a HQ workshop based role. However, we may require you to respond to plant / vehicle breakdowns on all sites (mainly in the Essex / London area) where necessary.

· Maintain vehicle and plant maintenance records.

· Liaise and co-ordinate planning, working with the Workshop Manager, to schedule planned preventative maintenance, repairs, deal with breakdowns and prioritise work load to meet operational requirements.

· Work within confines of the company's health, safety & environmental policies and safety guidelines, as well as applicable client and Government rules and regulations.

· Follow all Company procedures, policies, work instructions, method statements, risk assessments, permits, safety and quality procedures and working practices.

:

* Full UK driving licence (essential)

* At least 3-5 years’ experience of working on heavy plant and equipment (essential)

* Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, service and repair (preferred)

* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

* Have a positive attitude and enthusiastic approach to work

Full time, permanent

Negotiable, competitive rate based on experience

:

* 8 hour shift (Monday to Friday 07.30 – 16.00)

* Overtime, as and when required

* 28 days holiday (including Bank/Public Holidays)
