Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA)

Location: Newham, East London

Hours:

8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Term Time Only

Pay Scale:

TA: £85-£100 per day

Role and Responsibilities:

• Student Support: Provide targeted support to Key Stage 1 students, both individually and in small groups, enhancing their academic and personal development.
• Collaborative Approach: Work closely with class teachers to implement tailored strategies and interventions addressing specific learning challenges of each student, ensuring effective fulfilment of their needs.
• Inclusive Environment: Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom setting where every student feels valued, respected, and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
• Academic and Personal Growth: Assist in creating engaging learning experiences and implementing behaviour management strategies to support students’ academic and personal growth.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, especially within Key Stage 1, is advantageous and highly valued.
• Demonstrate genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey, with a commitment to making a positive impact in their lives.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with students, colleagues, and parents from diverse backgrounds.
• Take a proactive approach to supporting student learning, adapting interventions based on individual needs, and actively contributing to the overall learning environment.
• While not mandatory, relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable and will be considered favourably.
