Sr. Accountant

Position Overview: 
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, strong analytical skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Manage and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and account analysis.
Coordinate and support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support.
Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
