General Operative

Location: Kidderminster
Hours: Mon - Thu 8am - 4pm Fri Early Finish Friday
Pay: From £11.44 p/hr
Contract: Temp - Perm

Pertemps Kidderminster are recruiting for a General Operative to join our clients growing team. The successful candidate will be working on a Temporary to Permanent basis. You will play a crucial role in the production process, contributing to the manufacturing of components that meet quality standards.

The Duties of a General Operative:
Operate and maintain equipment and machinery.
Assist in the preparation of moulds, ensuring they meet quality specifications.
Smooth rough surfaces, edges, and welds using grinders, sanders, and other finishing tools.
Perform fettling and finishing operations on cast metal components
Perform quality checks on finished products.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
The Requirements of a General Operative:
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
Previous experience in metal finishing, fettling, or a related field is preferred.
Basic understanding of Health and Safety.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
