Associate Sustainability Consultant

Purobuild are partnered with a leading, global multi disciplinary consultancy to assist them in finding their next Associate Sustainability Consultant. The successful candidate will join the team based in the Manchester helping to lead their sustainability initiatives and services across the UK.

Location: Manchester

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000

You will play a supporting role to the UK Sustainability Lead, managing teams of individuals and accelerating the development of junior staff within the team through the implementation of mentoring and training.

As part of the role you will:

• deliver large scale, complex projects with industry leading clients.
• Lead workshops with the client and design team and communicate information in a clear and concise manor.
• Undertaking a range of modelling and analysis, which may include but not limited to: embodied carbon of materials, circular economy opportunities, building performance simulation, operational energy use, energy generation, overheating.
• Lead the development of sustainability and energy strategies.
• Lead the delivery of environmental assessments (such as BREEAM, WELL, HQM, etc) from early design stages through to completion.
• Building Regulations Part L assessments using Elmhurst and IES
• NABERS UK modelling
• Dynamic modelling for thermal comfort assessments and overheating risk assessments
• BREEAM and HQM assessments
• Health and wellbeing strategies and certification
• Net zero carbon strategies and embodied carbon calculations
• Circular economy strategies
