Salary: £39,710

Location: Salford

Hours: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm with flexibility to also work evenings/weekends/Bank holidays when required.

Contract: This role will be on a temporary ongoing contract with opportunity for permanent employment. chance of straight permanent for the right candidate.

Role purpose

The Ecommerce Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring the warehouse operation of our clients new Ecommerce Hub ensuring this runs effectively and efficiently. This includes leadership of the warehouse team, asset, and inventory management. As well as the continuous improvement of processes with a focus on driving efficiency's. The role will also lead on ensuring best-in-class health and safety at the site.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

Inventory management:

Accountable for establishing and maintaining effective management of all inventory on the premises.
Accountable for capacity management of the Hub, ensuring accurate pick rates and meeting dispatch targets.
Accountability for the accurate and on time fulfilment of customer orders. As well as new goods and donated product to retail stores.
Work in partnership with the Ecommerce leadership team to implement digital solutions to streamline inventory management.Process

Overall accountability for warehouse process design and continuous improvement to optimise workflow and revenue.
Set warehouse key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive the delivery of these through the Warehouse Leads.
Accountable for maximising efficiencies and minimising waste including any unsaleable stock.

People management

Work in collaboration with the Online Sales Manager to ensure a seamless process between the Listing and Warehouse teams as well as a great colleague and customer experience.
Lead and motivate warehouse colleagues to achieve maximum productivity and engagement.
Ensure all warehouse colleagues are fully inducted and trained to action their respective roles and receive supervision to drive colleague performance and engagement.
Accountable for ensuring that the scheduling of warehouse colleagues is efficient and maximises capacity and costs.

Person specification
Knowledge and experience

Essential

Demonstrable experience of managing a warehouse, including leading people, and managing process, assets, and inventory. Experience in the logistics, distribution, and supply chain industry.
Experience of using a warehouse management system.
Experience of setting and managing KPIs.
Extensive knowledge and experience of implementing health and safety procedures, including risk assessments and compliance.
Demonstrable successful implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within a warehouse.
Experience of successfully managing a diverse team of colleagues - or the desire to receive training to foster a diverse and inclusive working environment.Desirable

Experience of implementing a new warehouse management system
Continuous improvement qualification (Lean, Kaizen or similar)
Experience of using ecommerce platforms, e.g., Shopiago, eBay.
Ecommerce experience.
