There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our North East Division is looking to recruit a Technical Administrator to join the Division’s Technical team.
The Role
The role of Technical Administrator will be to provide support to the Head of Technical in the day to day running of the office and to provide secretarial and administration support to the technical department.
Principal accountabilities of the role include:
Administration duties for Head of Technical as required including monitoring and process emails as required and diary management
Collate, copy & circulate departmental sections of internal / Group reports
Carry out general office duties including typing, copying, filing, archiving, processing and circulating reports and minutes, including ad-hoc minute taking and coordinating service technical meetings to include refreshments
Keep departmental holiday forms, charts and absence records up to date
Management and circulation of departmental post (incoming / outgoing)
Issue all drawings and specifications for Technical Team and update ‘Links’ for technical drawing issues
Assist with Plot Handover Packs, procedure management and maintenance and accessing of Central Archive system
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
Experience
Previous experience working in a secretarial / administration role
Technical admiration experience is desirable
Qualifications and Training
No formal qualifications are necessary, but evidence of relevant experience and skills will be required
Skills and Aptitude
Strong communication, listening skills
Excellent attention to detail
Methodical, conscientious, organised and works to deliver high standards
Ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective manner
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to problem solve
Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems.
