Location: Coventry, UK
Work Hours: Rotating 3 Shifts (Morning, Afternoon & Nights) Monday to Friday. Other shifts when required.

Salary: £27,500 - £30,500 per annum (subject to experience)

SHIFT WORKING REQUIREMENTS
The role requires working different shifts (Monday to Friday) that will rotate every week to cover the three timeframes below:
Mornings (Apply online only) and unpaid break (Apply online only)
Afternoons (Apply online only) and unpaid break (Apply online only)
Nights (Apply online only) and unpaid break (Apply online only)
Please Note: Team Leaders must work different shifts where needed (with applicable paid shift premium).

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You must be prepared to take full responsibility and accountability for the team's results, have strong communication skills and have the ability to effectively solve problems and drive performance.
You will be comfortable with addressing difficult performance management issues at both individual and team levels, have effective problem-solving skills and be proactive in identifying and implementing solutions.
A solid understanding of core disciplines, intermediate level IT skills, and a commitment to being actively present with the workforce for continuous monitoring, evaluation, and supervision are also required attributes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Production
* Allocate manpower to meet the production targets.
* Analysis and communication of production KPI’s at the daily shopfloor board meetings
* Maintain operational excellence, ensuring daily production output is met, and actively problem-solve where issues arise.
* Directly handles performance management issues with team members who are not meeting production requirements.
* Maintain standards and skill levels to support production schedules using skill matrices and process audits.
* Maximise productivity by efficiently utilising all available resources: raw materials, consumables, personnel, and time.
* Backfill areas of the process that may require it. Full-task coverage of holidays, sickness, or uplifts specified by production schedules.
* Maintain QAD to ensure stock levels are correct and books are complete in a timely manner.

* Identifying training needs carrying out training and overseeing outputs to assess the competence of the team.
* Carry out first-line HR duties i.e. job chats, return-to-work meetings, holiday admin.
* To promote and develop inter-team labour flexibility within their area through total employee involvement, identifying skills needs, and overall teamwork.
* Identify and optimise individual team members’ qualities and strengths to maximise effectiveness.
* Maintenance of administration systems applicable to their area. To include, working to recognised standards, reflected in efficiency reporting, attendance, timekeeping, training, and assessing.
​Processes
* Conduct risk assessments, ensuring that the methods and systems of work are safe. Lead by example, ensuring the team is aware of and adheres to the H&S policy.
* Plan to achieve production targets, track results, and carry out root cause countermeasures as required.
* Carry out Start-of-Shift Meetings and toolbox talks.
* Ensure that the team works in a safe and efficient manner, using the latest manufacturing instructions, and adhere to NP Aerospace’s safety policy.
* Enforce NP Aerospace’s policy on plant and process security.
* Promote the Ten Lean Behaviours

* Aim for continuous improvement through effective communication throughout all teams including production, quality, engineering, and technical teams.
* Promote, through individual accountability, the highest quality standards allied to the manufactured product; this can be achieved by fully embracing the philosophy of continuous improvement.

Team Leader experience in a manufacturing setting is an advantage.
Maths and Comprehension test to be completed.
