CAD Technician
Permanent Opportunity
Location: Oldbury
Hours of Work: 07.00am till 4.00pm with 30 minutes lunch
Salary: £32K to £36K
We are working in partnership with a growing manufacturing company, and we are seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a Cad Technician, providing essential support to their Technical Manager. This role requires proficiency in CAD, with the ability to interpret technical drawings. The ideal candidate will exhibit drive and ambition, with a strong desire to advance their skills and expertise within their organization.
Key Responsibilities (training provided):
* Demonstrating a robust understanding of sheet metal processes, including experience with tooling and nesting for a turret punch.
* Adapting existing designs to meet specified requirements while adhering to budget constraints.
* Generating comprehensive manufacturing and customer drawings, as well as assembly drawings and bills of materials.
* Utilizing Radan to develop designs that align with product specifications.
* Constructing prototypes as needed.
* Facilitating communication between production and sales departments.
* Collaborating closely with the Technical Manager and providing support to production operations.
* Maintaining and organizing departmental documents and files.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with Radan and AutoCAD.
* Proficiency in reading technical drawings.
* Possession of a valid UK driving license.
Key Skills:
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
* Ability to create clear and comprehensive reports, procedures, and guidance documents.
* Experience working collaboratively within a team environment or independently.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills, ensuring deadlines are met.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
