Our client, a leading communications company in Nottingham is looking for a Direct Mail Manager to join their team.

As the Direct Mail Manager, you will orchestrate the continuous enhancement of all operations within the Direct Mail Department, ensuring peak performance and the attainment of all objectives while adhering to environmental, quality, health & safety, and other regulatory standards.

Your responsibilities will be diverse, yet focused on the following core areas:

Workflow:

* Ensure production targets and schedules are met while maintaining workflow and addressing problems quickly.

* Keep machinery in good order, manage Quality and Health & Safety procedures.

* Update management on progress during production meetings.

People Management:

* Manage team leaders and employees, including performance management, coaching, and training.

* Conduct annual reviews, involve employees in development, and encourage innovation.

* Ensure all training is completed and hold meetings to improve workflow and service.

* Adhere to HR policies, manage overtime and sickness payments, and control labour costs, including temporary workers.

General:

* Represent the department, produce data and reports as needed, and deliver expected KPIs.

* Comply with the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and its policies.

* Maintain stock and consumables control, order as needed, and manage the department’s maintenance budget.

Skills required:

* A robust understanding of Direct Mail processes.

* Formal management training.

* A track record in general and commercial management.

* Experience in implementing cultural change and adhering to Lean Manufacturing standards.

This is a permanent site-based role, you will be working on 7am - 4.30pm shift, Monday to Friday (42.5 hours per week).
