Technical Sales - Polymers - Midlands - Ref 2432
This position is the perfect opportunity for a Chemist who is wanting to transition into a sales role.
Key Responsibilities;
* Account management – maintaining and developing strong relationships with our existing customers, including responsibility for several industry groups, primarily in the field of polymers (thermoplastics, rubber, thermosets, composites).
* Source new sales opportunities through responding to and qualifying inbound leads.
* Identify new business opportunities through prospecting and market research.
* Support the marketing strategy by producing engaging technical articles and multimedia for our website on a range of topics.
The successful candidate will receive extensive training and will benefit from an attractive salary and benefits package including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Initially primarily office-based, the role will develop into a sales manager role involving both UK and International travel and the opportunity to work with some of the leading names in the chemical industry.
Our Client is a successful, specialist chemical distribution company who represent a range of leading chemical companies from across Europe, the US and Asia. We supply raw materials such as additives, pigments, minerals and catalysts into a wide range of industries in the UK including coatings, construction, polymers, cosmetics, and agrochemicals.
They are seeking an ambitious, highly motivated Chemistry or Materials Science graduate to join their team in a sales role. The role will be internal sales, with the intention to develop into a fully-fledged sales manager position within a foreseeable timeframe. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and will be responsible for developing business with new and existing customers across several industry areas, predominantly in thermoplastics and thermosets. The role will also entail marketing duties to support the overall marketing strategy, including writing engaging technical articles for our website.
