Job Description
Turner & Townsend is on the search for an experienced Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our growing team in supporting our clients’ efforts towards green and healthy building certifications. The candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as deep technical knowledge of rating systems including LEED ID+C and BD+C, at a minimum. Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience across additional rating systems including WELL, Fitwel, ILFI Zero Carbon, LEED Zero, Green Globes, BREEAM, Energy Star, LEED EBOM, SITES, etc. and candidates with experience using One Click LCA or EC3 to conduct embodied carbon assessments. Candidates should understand common energy efficiency, water saving, waste reducing, and healthy material strategies. The role will include collaborating with multiple clients and team members.
The Senior Sustainability Consultant will work on client programs to develop green leasing criteria, implement green building rating systems, track completion of project tasks, conduct site visits to investigate compliance with green building policies, create PowerPoint and Excel documents, and complete documentation towards certifications. This Consultant role must be capable of independently developing LEED scorecards, meeting agendas, PowerPoint presentations, and taking accurate and detailed notes to document project decisions.
The property types include office, retail, multi-family residential, and industrial. Reporting to the US Head of Sustainability, this role will support the US Sustainability Team to track the impact of platform sustainability and resilience strategies. These include but are not limited to energy efficiency, water conservation, on-site renewable energy installation, vendor management to achieve building certifications, sustainability projects, and regulatory compliance.
Locations
This position requires that you be in any of these locations including, New York, NY; Atlanta, GA; Tampa, FL; Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; or Washington D.C. It will also require occasional travel and hybrid in-office working.  
Duties & Responsibilities
Drive Strategy and Achieve Impact
Advise clients on Green Building certification requirements and strategies to achieve corporate ESG goals
Conduct gap analyses and feasibility assessments, utilize advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills to develop compelling reports and presentations
Assist in the development of sustainable design strategies by collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, asset managers and corporate real estate teams
Run Green Building certification scorecard reviews and charrettes to build consensus towards sustainability goals
Adjust operating procedures as they relate to sustainability for real estate and align operations with industry standards
Keep current with new certification schemes as they are developed
Manage Projects / Vendors for Building Certifications:
Drive achievement of certifications including LEED, BREEAM, Fitwel, WELL, Energy Star
Procure and manage vendors including energy modelers, commissioning agents, acoustical and other specialty consultants
Create regular project status update reports to keep clients aware of project statuses  
Possess creative problem-solving skills to work through review comments efficiently
Other Sustainability Projects/Initiatives: 
Support US Sustainability Team’s efforts to identify business generation opportunities
Support team members in assessment of solar potential for building sites, on-site battery storage, electric vehicle infrastructure, and low global warming potential refrigerants
