Rare opportunity for anArchitectural Director job, strong aviation experience is required and will be joining a large award-winning architectural and engineering practice, based in Los Angeles, CA. This employee-owned practice is seeking an Architectural Director who will collaborate with a diverse team and take the lead for the West Coast region. Offering a salary of up to $225,000 plus extensive benefits. Relocation support can also be considered within the USA.

In this role, the individual will lead the west region, overseeing the design, development, and execution of project tasks, with a focus on managing budget, scope, and quality control. Coordination of project priorities, staffing schedules, and assignments will be essential to ensure that clients receive adequate resources when needed. Additionally, the role involves providing technical coaching and mentoring, as well as ensuring efficient and productive utilization of staff to deliver high-quality service.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Direct, mentor, and manage a team of reports across the West Coast region
* Support with business initiatives
* Project coordination, scheduling, and staff assignment allocation
* Manage and oversight of budgets
* Assist with the recruitment process and succession planning
* Support across the project lifecycle, supporting clients and ensuring quality standards and schedules are achieved.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Degree qualified in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or similar; masters degree preferred
* Proven leadership experience within the aviation/transport sector
* Ideally 15+ years of industry experience
* Involvement in project management for high-value large-scale projects
* Strong client-facing experience and ability to deliver projects
* Mentoring and leadership skills
* AIA membership desirable.
