Job Description
Tax Analyst
This is a contract opportunity.
This is a hybrid opportunity in Jersey City, NJ.
 
About this position
The ideal candidate will have the necessary skills to complete tasks on the proprietary software, Shareworks, Excel, and third-party tax programs. They should also possess the requisite knowledge to conduct research for various jurisdictions and any new countries that Shareworks expands into.
 
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate within one or more global Tax product management teams to communicate requirements for supporting the Shareworks Stock Plan Tax processes and systems.
Work with tax operations to understand processes and systems that comply with regulatory requirements.
Partner internally and with senior stakeholders to identify and understand change opportunities.
Understand the strategic Change agenda and assist in achieving budgeted deliverables.
Assist in creating JIRAs and documenting agreed-upon requirements to enhance systems/processes.
Provide senior management with reporting and status updates.
Manage and execute the annual runbook for tax reporting to ensure tasks are assigned, completed, and closed.
Escalate any obstacles that may hinder meeting client-communicated dates or regulatory deadlines.
Perform all required testing of updates/enhancements to forms, files, processes, etc.
Manage any special handling requirements for clients, including tax form amendments.
Update processes and procedures in the policy portal as required
Skills/Requirements
Strong analytical skills with the ability and desire to learn complex technical regulations, processes, and solutions.
3+ years of experience in program/project management, process engineering, or strategy.
Experience with tax regulations and operational processes.
Background in employee share plan and tax production is advantageous.
Familiarity with US reporting for global employee share plan requirements.
Self-motivated and eager to learn.
Excellent time management skills, particularly during tight deadlines.
Ability to develop knowledge and expertise in related tax regulations, operational functions, and systems.
Proactive engagement and collaboration with coworkers globally to build positive rapport and contribute effectively as measured by their feedback.
Strong analytical, accurate, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Information:
This is a 12-month contract with the opportunity to extend/convert.
Pay Range:
 
$30-$32/HR
