Company Overview:
Our client offers a unique end-to-end service, covering needs assessment, solution definition, design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and aftercare of water and wastewater treatment assets. They are expanding their delivery team and seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to cover the South and Midlands regions.

Duties & Responsibilities:
·Plan, supervise, and assist with on-site mechanical installation works for wastewater and water treatment plants, including scraper bridges and fabricated products.
·Ensure all activities are planned, coordinated, and conducted safely in compliance with standards, policies, and regulations.
·Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of systems to meet British, ISO, and client standards.
·Assist fitters and operatives with day-to-day site activities involving steelwork, pipework, etc.
·Liaise with project managers/engineers on project aspects.
·Induct onsite personnel, subcontractors, and visitors.
·Communicate method statements, risk assessments, and procedures to onsite personnel.
·Conduct toolbox talks and maintain training records.
·Address defects in plant and equipment promptly and ensure proper PPE is worn.
·Report accidents, incidents, and near misses to Project Manager/Engineer.
·Maintain good housekeeping and implement emergency plans when necessary.
·Liaise with internal/external safety officers and auditors during site inspections.
·Record and close non-conformances for projects.
·Apply industry best practices to ensure quality outcomes.
·Collaborate with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and contractors.
·Comply with Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Safe Systems of Work Plans.
·Complete daily reports and uphold company HSQE policies.
·Identify and promote new ideas and improvements.

Key Skills & Experience:
·Engineering/science qualification, ideally to HND/HNC/C&G level or equivalent.
·Minimum two years' experience in a similar role within utilities or M&E engineering.
·Experience in planning, supervising, and carrying out steelwork assembly, welding, and site mechanical works.
·Training/qualifications in coded welding, steel fixing, or similar.
·Strong focus on quality control and continuous improvement.
·Electrical awareness and training advantageous.
·Excellent communication skills.
·Experience within the UK water industry preferred.
·Willingness to travel regionally and nationwide, including overnight stays.
·Full driving licence.
