As the Occupational Health and Safety Manager, you will report to the Head of Health and Safety and work within the HSS & Connections Health and Safety Team based in our London office. This is a permanent position, offering a salary of £70,000 plus car/allowance and a 10% bonus.

As the Occupational Health and Safety Manager, your role will be focused on managing occupational safety risks across the company, ensuring the implementation of fit-for-purpose safety policies, procedures, and manuals. You will play a key role in achieving the company's 'beyond zero' safety vision and leading a step change improvement in safety performance.

In this role, you will work closely with Senior Management Teams, colleagues, and contractors to ensure the effective management of health and safety risks within the business. You will contribute to the management of all occupational safety risks and controls, ensuring compliance with best practices and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver management of all occupational safety-related risks and controls.
Identify best practices and ensure the implementation of safety-related procedures.
Monitor legislative changes and incorporate them into company processes.
Liaise with important partner groups and forums.
Participate in Health and Safety committees and major investigation review panels.
Support senior management with Health and Safety investigations.
Maintain, develop, and publish occupational safety-related policies, procedures, and manuals.
Contribute to the selection and approval of tools and equipment.
Manage a team of Health & Safety Advisors.
Support internal and external audits.
Contribute to the development and implementation of Company HSS programs and initiatives.
Requirements:

Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Occupational Health and Safety.
Corporate Membership of IOSH, such as the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
Management experience in an engineering environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to gain the respect and support of stakeholders.
Strong leadership skills.
