Brief

Quality Inspector needed for a leading engineering firm based in the Glasgow area.

What the role of the Quality Inspector entails:

Some of the main duties of the Quality Inspector will include:

Conducting all inspection activities in line with Programme's inspection and test plan with applicable standards and specifications (Multi Trade)
Ensuring all test activities are completed and compliant in line with relevant test forms as owned by the Quality Control Team
Compiling and issuing all relevant reports in a timely manner and maintain accurate records in the sited format
Implementing Quality Tools and Techniques across Programme through continuous improvement
Supporting Quality Investigation/internal audit / process confirmation within the Engineering Programmes
Supporting the Zero Defect Culture/Right First time across the business and into Supply Chain

What experience you need to be the successful Quality Inspector:

Time served or equivalent qualification (Mechanical/Pipefitter and/or Inspection)
Extensive knowledge and understanding of the trade application and industry standards/specification
Experience in relevant measuring tools and testing techniques
Experience of shipbuilding would be highly desirable
