Are you an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual with a talent for numbers? Our client, an established organisation in the finance industry, is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team. Salary: Up to £24,500 per annum depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with the possibility of later working on Wednesdays for 1 hour (time back provided).

Location: Chester city centre. Hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum requirement of 3 days in the office.

Responsibilities:

Extracting payroll reports from the system for balancing checks
Updating the purchase ledger
Reconciling debtor ledger
Managing Quickbooks payments
Conducting bank reconciliations to Quickbooks
Handling payroll reconciliations
Generating Excel reports for various departments
Assisting with HMRC reporting administration and reconciliation
Supporting in the preparation of VAT returns
Providing general ad-hoc administration supportSkills Required:

Ability to work with speed and accuracy
Reliability with a self-starting attitude
Thriving in a fast-paced, busy working environment
Strong team player, able to work to tight deadlines
Proficient in Excel, including formulas and formatting
Knowledge of Quickbooks is desirable but not essential
AAT trainee (or equivalent) qualification is desirable but not essential
