SEND Teachers needed in SEND Schools Across Coventry & Warwickshire

Twenty4Seven Education are looking for eager and experienced SEND Teachers to join the team in order to help cover SEND schools across Coventry and Warwickshire on an emergency/short term basis, possibly moving into long term roles.

There are a number of specialist provisions is located across Coventry and Warwickshire, catering for students of various ages with SEND, SEMH, challenging behaviours and other additional needs. They are usually smaller sites who pride themselves in creating a trustworthy, motivating and nurturing atmosphere where every pupil is encouraged and inspired to achieve their potential and develop a love of learning.

You will be responsible for covering classes of children with additional needs, meaning that you must be able to adjust your teaching methods and the existing curriculum to meet the needs of each individual child specifically children with autism spectrum disorder. It is important that you help and inspire the children to help them reach their true academic potential. Due to nature of cover needed, planning is usually not needed.

The preferred candidate will have:

* Experience in working with special needs (ASC, MLD, SEMH)

* Minimum 6 months’ experience working with children and young people.

* QTS preferred but non-qualified candidates will be considered.

* Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum

* Experience of using CPI (MAPA, Team Teach) is advantageous but not essential.

* Enhanced DBS registered or willing to acquire a new certificate.

* Can effectively manage behaviour using positive behaviour strategies.

* Will be kind, caring and patient when dealing with children who require specialist support.
