SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism Specialist)

Location: Colindale, Barnet

Hours: Full-time, Term Time (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM)

Pay: £85 – £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialization in supporting students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). As part of their dynamic team, you will play a key role in providing tailored support to students, empowering them to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities:

• Implement individualized support plans for students with ASD.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to address barriers to learning.
• Foster independence and positive social interactions among students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Aid with personal care, as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with individuals with ASD is essential.
• Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN are desirable.
