Role: Finance Assistant
Salary: Up to £26,000 + AAT Study Support
Location: Openshaw M11 – Office based
Start Date: ASAP
Talent Accountancy & Finance are working on an exclusive basis with a luxury brand based in Manchester who are looking to hire a keen and pro-active Finance Assistant.
The role is based on-site just outside of Manchester City Centre and will report into the Financial Controller with a key emphasis on cash/banking tasks such as bank recs & cash allocations with scope for plenty more, specifically on the Client/Sales Ledger side.

The Role
Key responsibilities:
* Bank reconciliations for 6 bank accounts across the European & UK markets
* Daily posting of bank receipts onto ledgers
* Accurate allocation of receipts and responsible for maintaining low levels of unallocated cash
* Processing supplier payments runs & bank payments
* Posting web transactions to the finance system
* Managing proforma accounts ensuring customer balances are reconciled and allocated.
* Posting sales invoices
* Processing customer refunds
* Administration duties as directed including but not limited to request for invoices, statements, allocations
* Interacting with different departments and the other members of finance to resolve queries
* Ad hoc duties to support FC & FD
The Person
This is a great role for someone reasonably early in their Finance career looking to get AAT qualified and gain a broad understanding of a Finance department in line with their studies via a role that covers cash/banking, accounts payable & accounts receivable.
Also someone that is:
* Eager to learn
* Has some experience working in Finance preferably in a fast paced SME
* Bank reconciliation and cash allocation experience would be fantastic!
* Is eager to learn
* Wants to get AAT qualified
* Reasonably competent on Excel (Vlookups, simple formulas – intermediate level)
