Senior Children's Support Worker

Salary: £32,000 - £33,800 (dependent on number of sleeps)

Role Overview: As a Senior Support Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team providing care and support to children up to 17 years old with diverse emotional needs. You will ensure their safety, wellbeing, and positive development while also guiding and supporting your colleagues on shift.

Responsibilities:

* Lead and support the care team, ensuring effective completion of tasks and health and safety checks

* Address and resolve issues during shifts, providing guidance and support to team members

* Assist children with daily routines, including school preparations, meal planning, and homework

* Encourage participation in social and leisure activities, promoting physical and mental wellbeing

* Maintain accurate paperwork and reports to ensure the home runs smoothly and compliantly

* Keep the home clean and tidy, fostering a sense of pride and ownership among residents

Requirements:

* NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People's Workforce, Children’s Residential Care, or equivalent

* Minimum one year of experience in a children's residential setting

* Flexibility to work shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins (average 11 shifts and 7-10 sleep-ins per month)

* Over 21 years old, with a full UK manual driving license and the right to work in the UK

* Kind, caring, with a good sense of humor and a strong work ethic

* Experience with or caring for children is ideal, but life skills from various backgrounds are valued and training will be provided
