Lead DevOps Engineer
Location: Hybrid (Birmingham)
Salary: up to £80,000 + Benefits
Investigo is currently seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer for one of its innovative software clients. In this exciting role, you will join a dynamic and expanding team, playing a critical role in the strategic DevOps approach of their cutting-edge platforms used by some of the worlds largest retailers.
Your responsibilities will involve both creating new DevOps functionalists for the business whilst also been responsible for the strategic approach. You will also be working closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather an understanding of where they can improve their infrastructure. The organisation work with leading and cutting edge technologies with a big focus on Google's operating systems hosting all their applications on GCP. They heavily utilise data and have a focus on improving their AI/ML capabilities.
You will be the most senior DevOps engineer on the projects with full autonomy to lead from the front. You will have the freedom to shape the DevOps processes. The company strongly values your professional growth and offers ample opportunities for advancement. They are continuously pushing their software to the limits so been comfortable with ambiguity would be crucial for this role.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Principal Software Developer will have the following skills:
5+ years working as a DevOps Engineer
Capable of leading a small team of 3 DevOps engineers
Strong knowledge with cloud technologies GCP preferably but AWS will be considered
Elastic Experience (ELK)
CI/CD experience working with AtgoCD, Gitlab CI etc
Strong Knowledge of tools such as Terraform, Docker, GKE, Kubernetes
Ability to communicate technical issues with non technical people
Have great verbal and written communication skillsWhat's on Offer
