Job Title: Construction Project Manager (Start-Up & Retrofit)
Location: Various locations available across the UK, France, Germany, and Spain 🌍
Renumeration:
Daily rate: €(Apply online only) per day 💵
Contract duration: 6 months ⏳Our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join their project stream. As a key member of their team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of new parts to facilities, whether it be new section start-ups or retrofits, and the enhancement of existing warehouses and logistics buildings. This role combines construction engineering, planning, project management, facilities management, and contract management.
Responsibilities:
🏗️ Oversee construction engineering, planning, and design for Distribution Centres and other expansion projects.
🧰 Manage both start-up and retrofit projects, including the extension of existing facilities.
📋 Prepare reports, specifications, and technical analysis to define design requirements, equipment, and services.
🔍 Survey facilities, develop audit procedures, and recommend solutions for facility infrastructure, safety, and security.
💼 Negotiate construction, procurement, and labour contracts in the EU.
💯 Ensure contracts are fit for purpose, cost-effective, and incorporate appropriate Service Level Agreements.
📌 Provide overall site management, planning, and coordination of subcontractors.
🤝 Coach and guide project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
🔎 Audit contractors to ensure their skills and competences meet project needs.
📊 Establish and operate information systems for effective scheduling and recording of contract work.
Requirements:
🎓 B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent.
🔨 Proven project management experience in construction or engineering, managing both new builds and the enhancement of existing facilities.
🌍 Experience in the construction market in one or more EU countries.
🏢 Experience from design phase through implementation and operation.
📈 Proven track record of managing construction quality systems.
💬 Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders.
📊 Strong data analysis skills.
