Our client, based in Manchester, are currently seeking an experienced Fabricator / Welder. The company is a highly successful digital and architectural signage company working in sectors such as Hospitality, Travel, Transport, Retail and Leisure.

The Role:

Establish tasks set on a daily basis and meeting deadlines

To review engineering drawings for parts to be fabricated/welded

Perform welding/plating activities

Fabricate sheet metal

Ensure tolerances and parameters are met to satisfy quality and output

Ensure production timings are met/exceeded

Use of Management system

Follow company rules and adhere to procedures & Health and Safety standards

Work as part of a team to produce orders on time and within customer expectation/quality requirements

Ensure correct marking up of component parts

Support the Production Manager with Quality Checks and obtain sign off

Maintain work records to support the client handover

Work as part of the assembly team as required to support short deadlines.

The Candidate:

Able to read and understand manufacturing / engineering drawings

Qualified welder in Mig & Tig

Sheet metal skills

Folding press

High attention to detail

Proficient in Google Applications (i.e.) Gmail, Google Drive, etc

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Able to work using your own initiative as well as working within a team

Good people skills and excellent customer service ethic.

This job role is full time working 40 hours a week, Monday-Thursday (7am – 4pm) and Friday (7am – 3pm).
