Evoke Staffing are currently recruiting a Contract Manager for our client in Swindon.
Responsible for managing the organisation's daily operational functions. Planning and implementing operational processes to improve quality, productivity, cost control and performance. The Contract Manager is to oversee all client operational activities at every level of the Swindon organisation including both customer service, warehouse functions encompassing H&S. The Contract Manager shall also work alongside the Senior Branch Manager in ensuring operational costs are kept within the boundaries of the client contract whilst ensuring effective budget and cost control.
Salary: £38,000 + Car Allowance
Location: Swindon
Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00-16:30
Responsibilities:
* Management of all client operational activities including training, performance management and attendance.
* Develop and maintain long term relationships with the client.
* Anticipates future changes in the customer needs and adjusts to maintain effective service levels.
* Identifies issues that affect customer service performance and implements strategies for improvement.
* Responds promptly and effectively to breaches in health and safety requirements.
* Ensures policies and procedures are followed within dept/depot to ensure legal obligations are met open communication with employees and other areas of the
* Fosters open communication with employees and other areas of the business to ensure effective team working.
* Monitors operational performance and effectiveness and acts where necessary to improve it.
* Manage the performance of others constructively by providing direction and feedback: recognising good performance and agreeing plans to improve poor performance.
* Manages ongoing work schedules/staffing levels of team and take action where necessary.
* Manage budget and department/depot operational costs.
* Identifies barriers to communications and looks at ways to improve it.
* Providing direction, resources, inspiration and recognition to get the best out of others.
Role Requirements:
* Up to date knowledge of H&S regulations within a logistics environment.
* Experience of leading operations in a logistics environment.
* Familiarity in budget setting and therefore operational cost control
* Understanding of business management principles
* Exceptional communicator capable of engaging at all levels of the business.
* Familiarity with Warehouse Management system
* Proficiency in MS office applications with a particular focus on Excel skills
* Ability to analyse complex data, reporting methods and KPI measures
* Analytical skills
* Good communicative skills
* Result-oriented and involved.
* Disciplined and sense of responsibility.
* Problem solving ability.
