We are looking to recruit Band 4 Phlebotomy Supervisor to expand our team working across at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital, Southend University Hospital and other local community clinics throughout South Essex. As a Phlebotomy Supervisor you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of phlebotomy staff in outpatients, wards and the community (including domiciliary).

You will be expected to work across all sites, shifts are variable between 6.15am and 7pm Monday to Friday with regular weekends on a rotational basis.

This role is ideally suited for someone who is experienced, caring, friendly and would like to be a part of a team that contributes towards patient care. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work and communicate with a large team across multiple sections.

A full driving license and access to your own vehicle is essential, as you will be required to travel to a variety of community clinic locations. Successful applicants will undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Qualification and Experience:

* 3 GCSE ‘O’ levels or equivalent which must include English

* A minimum of 12 months previous phlebotomy experience

* Phlebotomy qualification

* Paediatric experience

* Domiciliary experience

* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience

* Excellent communication skills, a caring and professional attitude are essential, as well as the ability to work under pressure
in all areas

* Excellent written and spoken English Language skills

* Previous experience and confidence using IT applications including Microsoft Office and Outlook

* Full UK driving licence and use of car for work

Desirable:

* 5 GCSE ‘O’ levels (Grades A-C) or equivalent to include English and Science

* Previous hospital patient facing work

* Basic CPR and First Aid Knowledge and competency
