Ramboll is accepting applications for the Summer 2024 internship program at our office located in Oakland or San Francisco. Each participant will be assigned a mentor who will guide them through project assignments. The program will provide internship participants with the opportunity to gain experience working in one or more practice areas. Our goal is to afford our interns experience with a variety of projects during the summer program to broaden their understanding an experience within their field of interest.

Tasks and Responsibilities
The position is for an energy engineer who is pursuing a career in the energy industry. The applicant can expect to perform excel based energy analysis including energy data/use analysis, as well as energy savings calculations. The applicant should be well versed in thermodynamic and have completed their basic engineering courses. The intern will:
Conduct investigative energy assessments to identify energy and cost saving measures (ASHRAE level 1 and 2 audits)
Conduct spreadsheet analysis to estimate energy and cost savings of proposed energy efficiency measures (EEMs)
Summarizing engineering analyses/results in written reports (and planning documents) and presentations that are cohesive and of the highest quality
Working with and supporting company design engineers and construction managers to implement energy efficiency projects
Participating in the development of Clean Energy Master Plans and Decarbonization Plans

Candidates should be working toward a B.S or M.S degree in mechanical engineering with an interest in pursuing a career in energy
Candidates with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above are strongly preferred. Candidates with the completion of 4 college semesters (rising Junior status) are strongly preferred.

Salary Transparency Statement
At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an hourly rate between $25 and $30 per hour. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
