Senior Financial Accountant – Derby - £60-70K + Bens – High profile role
Are you an experienced Financial Accountant looking for a new challenge? This company is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team based in the UK.
As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a team of 3 transactional staff and ensuring the month-end close process is completed accurately and on time. You will also be responsible for providing final reporting output within the defined Group deadlines, liaison with C Suite in the USA and occasional international travel if desired.
Key responsibilities…
You will be responsible for ensuring all company controls are documented and complied with, providing training across the business where necessary
You will ensure all intercompany postings are made and agreed with counterparties each month.
You will also be responsible for preparing appropriate month-end accruals and prepayments with supporting information, ensuring all FX postings are made in month
You will ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.
You will work with the North American team to harmonise processes and provide support.
You will arrange meetings and present reconciliations for review with Global Controller and CFO.
You will also review both the Accounts Payable and Receivable ledgers ensuring that all debit or credit entries are fully understood and appropriate action is taken to rectify within the following month.
What the client is looking for…
The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified with 2 to 5 years post-qualification experience,
Have staff management experience
Have international exposure to a complex business, preferably US-based.
You will also have experience in continuous process improvement whilst maintaining the control framework environment and providing appropriate support for specific projects throughout the year, as and when they occur.
What is on offer?...
Salary of between £60-70,000 + bens
This is an office-based role but some flexible working is allowed
There will be occasional international travel if desired
