Tax Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Tax Manager to join a fast paced and highly reputable business based in Bury St Edmunds, working on a hybrid basis.
The role is focused on the preparation of tax workings across Corporation Tax, Tax Accounting and VAT.
 
Responsibilities

Management of the group's Corporation Tax and tax reporting
Provision of support and advice across all other taxes and reporting
Ensuring appropriate tax accounting systems and processes are in place and where necessary lead the process to implement any new processes and system
Handling ad-hoc tax technical analysis
Optimise the group’s overall tax burden and cash flow by ensuring that all appropriate deductions and reliefs are claimed
Develop and maintain good working relationships with your colleagues, external auditors and HMRC
Preparation of tax reporting numbers for the organisation 
Key skills:

Qualified Accountant or relevant Tax qualification and/or work experience
Comprehensive and well-rounded understanding of UK tax laws, regulations and accounting standards.
Experience in tax strategy, compliance, reporting and risk management.
Strong excel skills
Strong people, team and communication skills
Clear and methodical working approach
