Quantity Surveyor

Parkinson Gray Associates is the leading building services Recruitment Business in Yorkshire. One of our longest-standing contacts has asked us to assist them with recruiting a Quantity Surveyor.

We have spent many years recruiting for the building services contracting sector, so we have extensive experience recruiting quantity surveyors. You may think there is nothing unusual about our work on this QS. You would be wrong!

This role is unusual for two reasons. Firstly, while this business is very much engaged with mechanical and electrical building services, it is, in fact, a design consultancy, not a building services contractor. Secondly, they are open to considering applicants from Quantity Surveyors outside of the MEP sector. Perhaps you come from the building, civils, or housing market. Maybe you have a background within PQS. Whatever your background, we want to speak to you.

As a consultancy, they sell their time rather than deliver a building for their end-user. As this business’s Quantity Surveyor, you will deal with invoicing, applications, variations, and job costs. In short, you will be engaged in all the duties expected of a QS, but the environment is a design consultant rather than a contractor. As such, you will not be involved in endless battles with builders.
