An manufacturing company based in Oldbury are currently recruiting for an experienced Cad technician to join their expanding team. Company benefits include, secure parking facilities, clean working environment and excellent long-term opportunities.
Candidate will be responsible for:
You will be assisting the Technical manager, you will need to have a working knowledge of CAD and have the ability to read drawings.
Mon-Fri
7.30 – 1600
£30k+ Salary, Great progression
MAIN DUTIES (training given)
* Must have a strong knowledge of sheet metal process, ideally with experience of tooling and nesting for a turret punch
* Re-engineer existing designs to meet these requirements within budget.
* Produce detailed manufacturing and customer drawings and assembly drawings, bills of materials.
* Produce a design which meets the product requirements utilising Radan.
* Develop prototypes where necessary.
* Liaising with production and sales departments
* Working closely with the Technical manager and production support
* Update and archive department documents, files etc.
Key skills required:
* Use of Microsoft Office Software, particularly Word and Excel
* Ability to create clear and thorough reports, procedures and guidance documents.
* Experience of working as part of a team to achieve team and organisational objectives or to work independently
* Good organisational and planning skills sufficient to plan own time and workload to ensure that deadlines and timescales are met.
* High Degree of accuracy in work
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
