Our client, a large and very successful precast concrete manufacturer, are seeking a Drainage Specials Co-ordinator to join their Technical Department
The successful candidate will be involved from enquiries to the delivery of precast concrete products, generally associated with civil engineering projects. Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. You will be tasked with leading and interpreting customer drawings, producing a breakdown of the materials required, pricing bespoke products & creating quotations, processing & breaking down customer orders, co-ordinating projects and maintaining project records, producing all relevant documentation & drawings for production team & customer, liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, and colleagues, ordering various products relating to customer orders, calling off products for delivery, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of their work, organising & prioritising projects based on customer requirements, providing technical support and advice for customers and contractors.
You qualify for this role you will have exceptional attention to detail and good computer skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular Excel. You will possess good time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage a number of tasks concurrently with the ability to work on own initiative but understand level of responsibility within the team. You will possess excellent communication skills – both verbal and written and have the ability to interact with a wide range of people including clients, contractors & consultants.
Its desirable that you have a working knowledge of AutoCAD, ability to read technical drawings, experience of working in civil engineering or precast concrete manufacturing environment, knowledge of Civil Engineering products (e.g. drainage pipes/manhole/shafts/cover slabs) and ideally a knowledge of British Standards & Eurocodes. You will have willingness to continue personal development and hold a valid Driving licence
