Job Title: Transport Supervisor
Location: North Nottingham
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: Weekly Rotating Shifts (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm)
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000
About the Role:
SF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Supervisor for a fantastic business based in North Nottingham. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £28,000 to £32,000. The role requires flexibility to work on a rotating shift pattern, with shifts alternating weekly between 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.
The successful candidate will have a commercial understanding to ensure all operations are executing efficiently and cost effectively to ensure healthy business performance, at the same as ensuring driver welfare and maintaining client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the transport department.
Coordinate and schedule transport routes to ensure timely deliveries.
Supervise a team of drivers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and compliance with safety regulations.
Monitor and maintain transport-related documentation, including delivery notes, driver logs, and vehicle maintenance records.
Collaborate with other departments to optimise logistics processes and improve efficiency.
Address and resolve any issues or challenges related to transportation operations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety standards and legal requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in a transport or logistics supervisory role.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Familiarity with transport regulations and compliance requirements.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
Proficiency in relevant software and systems used in transport management.
