FLT Driver (Counterbalance)

Gi Group are recruiting for an FLT Counterbalance Driver working for a major Food production company in Telford (TF7)
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday
Day Shift – 04:00 – 12:00
Rates of Pay
£ 12.04 per hour

Main Duties
Daily maintenance of the forklifts and batteries. Any damage or required maintenance is reported immediately to the Manager
Ensure start up sheets are completed for each forklifts at the start of each shift
• Ensure each forklift is operated in an appropriate manner at all times, reducing the risk of damage and accident
• Following rules and regulations in respect of the operation of forklift trucks at all times (eg when to sound the horn, procedures when forks in use etc)
• Ensure that all areas of the cold store are clean, free of debris and that waste bins are always emptied
• Ensure that all relevant records are kept for the movement of product, crates/trays, pallets and any other product moved through the Warehouse
• Ensure that the pallets, trays and crates are stacked safely
• Provide effective communication with all relevant members of the site team
• Ensure that all weights are provided correctly and on time to all persons as required
• Ensure that all finished product leaving site is out loaded correctly for each depot and customer (including pallet heights, weights)
• Ensure that all site rules including Health & Safety are adhered to by all Forklift drivers
