Production Manager
£40,000 per annum

Metalis Recruitment are currently working with a prestigious manufacturing company who due to expansion are looking for a Production Manager to join the team.
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring that operations are running as smoothly and effectively as possible.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met
Coordinating with a variety of different departments within the business including the sales and design teams to forecast production needs and adjust schedules accordingly
Leading, mentoring and developing a production team leading to performance targets being hit
Utilising lean manufacturing principles in order to streamline all operations and improve production flow
Promoting a safe working environment and address any safety concerns promptly.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management
Working closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
Negotiating terms with potential suppliers
Tracking production costs and reporting back ensuring budgets are being stuck toShifts & Salary:
£40,000 per annum

Permanent, Full timeThe Ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the tooling or manufacturing industry
Strong understanding of carbide, HSS, brazed carbide, PCD, and indexable insert tooling production processes.
Proven experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
