Do you have at least 2 years Project Engineering experience in niche and bespoke Automotive companies?
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer to work for a design and engineering consultancy who deliver premium services. They are known for creating and crafting bespoke products in a variety of sectors from Automotive through to Lifestyle and Travel. You will be responsible for leading projects from a technical perspective and taking ownership for the delivery and successful completion of those projects.
Job Responsibilities:
* Technical project lead on several engineering projects and investigations. Liaising with suppliers, researching technologies, leading cross functional technical issue resolution, whilst providing innovative solutions to problems
* Create engineering specifications and schematics, complete component selection and legislation reviews to ensure products meet requirements. Manage external suppliers and clients, to define feature sets and ensure delivery on time and budget
* Work closely with internal design, project management and operations teams to ensure engineering requirements are communicated and their feedback is understood and implemented
* Support the head of engineering with day to day duties such as design reviews, package reviews, approvals and sign off
Experience Required:
* Engineer with a degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
* 2-5 years or more experience in a relevant engineering business is required. Ideally someone familiar with working with small volume, bespoke products and able to work in a dynamic team without large OEM processes
* Experience of automotive products and electric vehicle architecture is desired
* CATIA V5 experience is beneficial
