Product Approvals Engineer
Up to £38K depending on experience plus benefits package
Chard, Somerset (relocation supported)
We are looking for a Product Approvals Engineer to join an iconic British Manufacturer who operate on a global presence. This is a fantastic opportunity to join their R&D facility working with design teams on early stages of product development to the start of production and beyond!

What will you do?
Work closely with external suppliers & testing organisations to coordinate and manage test programs.
Work with the R&D team during new product development to specify necessary standards
Ensure compliance testing activities run smoothly using effective planning and reporting tools.
Collate data suitable for inclusion into the technical files, ensuring that all relevant data is accurate and satisfies FCC, UL, CE, LVD, Machinery Directive, EMC, RoHS, REACH etc.
Assist in the management of the certification library of approved products.
Ensure all compliance risks/issues are communicated effectively and acted upon accordingly.
Assist in the development of training modules and delivering guidance to internal teams.
What skills and experience will the Approvals Engineer need?
HNC/HND level in a relevant engineering discipline or have significant experience in a similar role.
A good understanding of domestic/commercial product compliance to international standards including EN, IEC, UL/CSA, FCC.
Awareness of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and relevant compliance testing.
Experience of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in internal auditing and management (i.e. ISO 9001, 17025).
The ability to interpret technical documentation and clearly communicate requirements
An understanding of Electrical/Electronic engineering fundamentals.
