Quantity Surveyor

A new and exclusive client in the commercial construction industry is looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor. You will be joining a close knit team who works on projects worth up to £2 Million at Gatwick, large London stations and surroundings.
Duties of the Quantity Surveyor:
- Liaising with suppliers and forecasting pricing the cost of materials for projects.
- Prepare costs for tenders which include materials, labour, time and ensuring budget is laid out for changes.
- Prepare documentation for tender and contracts by liaising with the client and architect.
- Building a pipeline of contractors and subcontractors for the projects.
- Keeping in touch with the client and suppliers for changes in design and construction work.
- Perform risk and value management to foresee construction costs.
- Measuring and valuing work done on site.
- Overseeing bills and arrange payments.
- Working closely with other construction professionals on site such as site managers, project manager and site workers.
Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor:
- Experience in NEC Contracts
- An experienced Quantity surveyor in the commercial field
- Experience of the building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters
- Strong numerical skills
- Excellent Communicator
- Driving license
