Mobile Plant Technician

Elevate your career as a Mobile Plant Technician with a competitive salary of £36,000, inclusive of shift allowance, in the industrious heart of Rotherham. Embrace the balance of a structured work week, Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, with the flexibility of alternating weekend shifts from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, complemented by a compensatory midweek day off.

Role Essentials:

* Conduct maintenance and repairs on a variety of mobile plant machinery

* MOT preparation

* Annual servicing

* Equipment such as HGV vehicles and trailers, mobile cranes, forklift trucks and a range of heavy industrial specialist vehicles

* Diagnose faults and ensure timely resolution to minimise downtime

* Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment

Skills & Experience:

* Proven experience in mobile plant or heavy equipment maintenance

* BTEC NVQ Level 3 trained and ideally have 2 years’ experience in maintaining vehicles. Knowledge and experience of HGV Regulations in preparing vehicles to MOT standards is desirable although not essential.

* Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

* Excellent communication and customer service abilities

* A current driving license is essential
